Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) held their second joint rally Wednesday afternoon in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, continuing to project a positive vision for their campaign.
“We are joyful warriors,” Harris said to waves of cheers a the outdoor event. “Because we know that while fighting for a brighter future may be hard work, hard work is good.”
Harris and Walz met plenty of enthusiasm during their event, with the crowd breaking into chants of “V-P Walz!” “We’re not going back!” and “They’re so weird!” among other things. The Harris campaign said that 12,000 people attended the event, which included a concert from Wisconsin-based indie rock band Bon Iver.
During his remarks, Walz aggressively went after GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump.
“He mocks our laws, he sews chaos and division amongst the people,” Walz said, “and that’s to say nothing of the job he did as president.”
